You’ve heard the cliché, but Airbnb is getting a lot of attention lately, thanks to a string of high-profile scandals involving the platform.
And that spotlight is on luxury shower rentals.
For instance, in January, Airbnb announced it would stop renting out its own hotel rooms.
Airbnb has now also announced it will end the rental of the luxury cabin rentals at the New York City Hilton Midtown.
And it has also announced that it is ending the rental at the luxury spa at the Beverly Hilton, which had previously been available to its guests.
But it’s not all bad news.
Airbnb is also going to allow guests to book a private room on its platform, and the company has also said it will be offering private rooms to guests at its flagship hotels, including the Hilton in New York and the Beverly in Beverly Hills, California.
And in addition to the luxury shower rental, Airbnb is offering the same service to guests in the company’s own rooms.
The company says the new service will be available from December 16 through February 19.
